Your complete guide to using the Peace Cottage Model School student portal. Learn how to access and manage your academic information, fees, and more.
Accessing the Portal
To access your student portal:
- Navigate to the school website
- Click on the "Login" button in the navigation bar
- Enter your login credentials
- You will be redirected to your dashboard
Understanding the Layout
Your student portal consists of three main areas:
- Sidebar Navigation: Located on the left, this contains all the main sections you can access
- Header: At the top, showing your profile information and quick access options
- Main Content Area: The center section where all your information is displayed
Navigation Sidebar
The sidebar is organized into sections:
- Overview: Dashboard overview
- Academic: Grades, attendance, timetable, and CBT tests
- Financial: Wallet and fee management
- Resources: Library and activities
- Communication: Messages and calendar
- System: Analytics and settings
You can expand or collapse each section by clicking on the section header. On mobile devices, use the menu button to access the sidebar.
Welcome Section
When you log in, you'll see a personalized greeting at the top of your dashboard. This greeting changes based on the time of day (Good morning, Good afternoon, or Good evening) and displays your name.
Key Statistics Cards
Your dashboard displays five important statistics:
- Attendance Rate: Shows your overall attendance percentage and the number of days present out of total days
- Fee Balance: Displays your current fee balance and any overdue amounts
- Wallet Balance: Shows your current wallet balance with a quick link to view wallet details
- Recent Grades: Indicates how many new grades are available for viewing
- Average Score: Calculates your average percentage based on recent exam results
Visual Charts
The dashboard includes visual representations of your data:
- Attendance Overview: A pie chart showing the breakdown of present, absent, and late days
- Fee Payment Status: A pie chart displaying paid amounts, balance, and overdue fees
- Recent Exam Performance: A bar chart showing your scores across different subjects
Recent Information
Below the charts, you'll find:
- Recent Grades: A list of your latest exam results with subject names, scores, and percentages
- Upcoming Events: Important dates and activities scheduled for the near future
- Recent Activities: Latest school activities and events you can participate in
- Announcements: Important messages and updates from the school administration
My Grades
View all your exam results and grades in one place.
How to view your grades:
- Click on "My Grades" in the Academic section
- You'll see a list of all your exam results
- Each grade card shows:
- Subject name and exam type
- Your score out of maximum marks
- Percentage achieved
- Grade letter (A, B, C, etc.)
- Date of the exam
- Pass/Fail status
- Teacher remarks (if available)
Tip: Grades are color-coded to help you quickly identify your performance level. Green indicates excellent performance, yellow for average, and red for areas that need improvement.
Report Cards
Access comprehensive academic reports that provide detailed analysis of your performance across all subjects. Report cards include term summaries, overall grades, and academic progress tracking.
Attendance
Monitor your attendance records and statistics.
Understanding your attendance:
- Attendance Rate: Your overall percentage of attendance
- Present Days: Number of days you attended school
- Absent Days: Number of days you were absent
- Late Arrivals: Number of times you arrived late
- Daily Records: View your attendance day by day with dates and any remarks
Note: Regular attendance is important for academic success. Check your attendance regularly to ensure you maintain a good attendance rate.
Timetable
View your complete class schedule for the week.
How to read your timetable:
- The timetable is organized by days (Monday through Friday)
- Each time slot shows the subject, teacher name, and room number
- Time slots are displayed in hourly intervals from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Empty slots indicate free periods or breaks
Tip: Use your timetable to plan your study schedule and ensure you're prepared for each class.
CBT Tests
Take computer-based tests assigned by your teachers.
How to take a CBT test:
- Go to the "CBT Tests" section
- View all available tests for your class
- Each test card shows:
- Test title and description
- Subject name
- Duration in minutes
- Total marks available
- Test status (published or draft)
- Click "Start Test" button for published tests
- Complete the test within the allocated time
- Submit your answers when finished
Important: Make sure you have a stable internet connection before starting a test. Once you start, the timer will begin counting down. You cannot pause or restart a test once it has begun.
My Wallet
Your wallet is a convenient way to store funds for school payments.
Wallet features:
- View Balance: Check your current wallet balance at any time
- Add Funds: Add money to your wallet using card payments
- Transaction History: View all your wallet transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and fee payments
- Payment Verification: Verify payments after adding funds to ensure they are credited to your account
How to add funds:
- Go to "My Wallet" section
- Click the "Add Funds" button
- Enter the amount you want to add
- Click "Proceed to Payment"
- Complete the payment using your card
- Verify the payment to credit your wallet
Fees & Payments
View and pay your school fees conveniently online.
Understanding your fees:
- Fee Summary: Overview showing total fees, paid amount, balance, and overdue amounts
- Fee List: Detailed breakdown of all fees including:
- Fee type and description
- Amount due
- Due date
- Payment status (paid or unpaid)
- Payment date (if paid)
How to pay fees:
- Navigate to "Fees & Payments" section
- View your unpaid fees
- Click "Pay Now" on the fee you want to pay
- Choose payment method:
- Pay with Card: Direct card payment for the fee amount
- Pay from Wallet: Use funds from your wallet (if you have sufficient balance)
- Complete the payment process
- Your payment status will update automatically
Note: Overdue fees are highlighted in red. It's important to pay fees on time to avoid any penalties or restrictions.
Library
Browse and borrow books from the school library.
Library features:
- Browse Books: View all available books in the library catalog
- Search Books: Use the search function to find specific books by title, author, or ISBN
- Borrow Books: Request to borrow available books
- My Borrowings: View all books you currently have borrowed
- Borrowing History: See your complete borrowing history
- Return Books: Return borrowed books when you're done
How to borrow a book:
- Go to the "Library" section
- Browse or search for the book you want
- Click on a book to view details
- If the book is available, click "Borrow"
- Confirm your borrowing request
- The book will be added to your borrowings list
Tip: Check the due date for each borrowed book and return it on time to avoid late fees.
Activities
View and participate in school activities and events.
Activity features:
- View Activities: See all published school activities
- Filter by Category: Filter activities by type:
- Academic activities
- Sports events
- Cultural programs
- Social gatherings
- Announcements
- General events
- Activity Details: Each activity shows:
- Title and description
- Category and date
- Status and visibility
- Media attachments (if any)
How to view activities:
- Navigate to the "Activities" section
- Use the category filter dropdown to filter activities
- Browse through the list of activities
- Click on an activity to view full details
- Check dates and requirements for participation
Messages
Communicate with your teachers through the messaging system.
Message features:
- Inbox: View all messages received from teachers
- Sent Messages: View all messages you have sent
- Compose Message: Send new messages to teachers
- Reply: Reply directly to received messages
- Priority Levels: Messages can be marked as normal, high, or urgent priority
- Read Status: See which messages you have read or not read
- Search: Search through your messages by keyword
How to send a message:
- Go to the "Messages" section
- Click the "Compose" button
- Select the recipient teacher from the dropdown
- Enter a subject for your message
- Write your message in the text area
- Select priority level (normal, high, or urgent)
- Click "Send" to deliver your message
How to reply to a message:
- Open a message from your inbox
- Click the "Reply" button
- Your reply will automatically include the original message context
- Write your response
- Click "Send Reply"
Calendar
View important dates and events in the academic calendar.
Calendar features:
- Event Types: View different types of events:
- Term start and end dates
- Holidays
- Examinations
- School events
- Meetings
- Event Statistics: Quick overview showing counts of exams, holidays, events, and meetings
- Filter Events: Filter the calendar to show only specific event types
- Event Details: Each event shows:
- Event title and description
- Start and end dates
- Event type
- Academic year and term
How to use the calendar:
- Navigate to the "Calendar" section
- View the event statistics at the top
- Use the filter dropdown to show specific event types
- Browse through the list of upcoming events
- Click on an event to view full details
- Plan your schedule based on important dates

Analytics
View detailed analytics and insights about your academic performance. The analytics section provides comprehensive data visualization and performance trends to help you understand your progress over time.

How to update your profile:
- Go to the "Profile" section
- Click the edit button on the information you want to update

Regular Check-ins
Check your dashboard regularly to stay updated on your academic progress, upcoming events, and important announcements. Daily check-ins help you stay on top of your studies and school activities.
